PERSONALITY PROFILING

Have candidates complete personality profiles on-line for recruitment / selection, development / succession planning purposes or as part of redundancy initiatives.

Some organisations already use personality questionnaires to establish how personality may affect job performance.  Typically personality questionnaires are used as a basis for interviewing candidates or as a basis for ongoing development / succession planning initiatives.  They also provide useful information for those undergoing career changes due to corporate restructuring, redundancies etc.


Most organisations, however,  commit considerable (HR) resource to administering personality profiles in supervising candidates, scoring questionnaires and compiling reports.  Even laptop based systems require each candidate to have access to a laptop loaded with the relevant software.


This renders personality profiling on a wide geographic basis unfeasible in most cases (or overly expensive with HR staff travelling to administer questionnaires) and, therefore, companies miss out on the added value that personality profiling can bring.


MBA Ltd has developed with SHL (UK) Ltd an on-line personality profile process using exactly the same SHL questionnaires as those used on laptop or paper.  Companies have the option of choosing either the Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ32-ipsative) or the Customer Contact Styles Questionnaire (CCSQ - ipsative).


Candidates are invited to log onto a SHL website whereby they complete a specified questionnaire (usually taking around 45 minutes).  Questionnaires are then automatically scored and reports e-mailed to a nominated recipient e.g. a recruiting manager, line manager, HR manager etc.
